William said his first word today! Yes, he''s only six months old, but because he is deaf, we have been teaching him American Sign Language. Everytime BettyAnn feeds him, she does the sign for "milk" (hold your hand palm-sidewise and squeeze it into a fist like you''re milking a cow). This evening, William was crying, and when BettyAnn approached, he held his little hand up and started signing "milk" cause the boy was hungry!
Of course, we think it''s funny that at 10lbs 11oz at birth that William''s first word would be related to food. :)
William is also crawling! Albeit slowly, but he''s definitely on the move. David''s toys are safe no more. :)
