David''s 18 month well baby check up went well. The nurse had trouble measuring David''s length as he was in a very bad mood. I think he knew he had a shot coming. . . . He''s now all vaccinated til he''s 5 years old. Poor little guy, I counted his vaccination record up - he got 20 shots in 18 months. OUCH!
David has new shoes! His last pair, summer sandals, are getting too small, so I took him shoe shopping today. David sure did have fun running up and down the aisles - for some reason, the word ''shoe'' brings out the runner in David. Took me a bit to catch him - wow, is he getting fast, and practically sat on him to get him to stay still so I could try on the various shoes. Found a cute pair (on sale for $11.99!!) and now he''s ready for the fall. They''re a nice brown and black sneaker style - so when he plays in the mud and dirt, they won''t look too bad. *grin* My little boy is now wearing a size 6 in shoe. Wowsers, he has big feet for a little tike! :) He''s 18 months old now.
David had an eventful doctor appointment week. He got his hearing completely checked (and he hears perfectly!) and he got his eyes checked - to follow up on his earlier diagnosis of Horner''s Syndrome - the doc who checked his eyes didn''t see a thing wrong, YAY!, so here''s hoping that continues. He has a speech evaluation set up for November - because he''s still not talking and the pediatrician wants to make sure there''s no medical reason for his lack of speech - other than David not wanting to say any words.
